When an oyster accidentally ingests a grain of sand, it feels discomfort, and so begins to ease the pain by applying a coat of nacre. It is during this healing process that a beautiful pearl is created.
It is rather ironic to think that something so beautiful can be created out of so much discomfort. Like life, it can be discomfiting during hard times, but persevere and you may find something beautiful along the way.
